Nollywood at 20?
Is this a joke? Are we celebrating the ramson noahs and the immigrants of our film industry. The nollywood i grew up with is a nollywood of the olu jacobs, chiwetal agu, joke silva and pete edochie. Even with the pitiable stunts of the old actors is still manageable compare to the pretense in film making around now. As a movie industry, if you were gonna show an action movie, undergo a perfect training, and if it is romance, give the customers what they paid for rather than some mombo jombo trash. Another alarming stuff is the crazy suspense and sound system they use; how can an actor be the director, producer at the same time? Twitter and other network is now a hotbed for our nollywood to expose their scandals and at the same time a crying base; do you seek pity to make money? Most of our nollywood stars are now musicians......so pitiable...a journey of 20 years is still like a a tree that refuses to bear fruits
